love your music
sat on the grass in Sylva NC sept '10 and was swept away by your material. Totally shocked at the news of Mark. I too have a dark path, but have managed to hold on. You've got to keep on doing it however. Please share more with us. Loving your music.

i met dean this past weekend at his store and i asked him to play your album. when i heard "strawberry roan", i started to cry. it's been a long time since a song moved me like that. evidently, we had just missed your show the night before at the daily grind in andrews. i look forward to hearing you live but until then i'll keep spinning "pictures from home". just curious: what does the handwritten note on the cover of the cd allude to, "the valves with him and the fan blades sing"?

I started to add this note to the mailing list signup, but the system ate it. Anyway...met you at Tinker Creek, where you were always surrounded by a fluttering coterie. I asked you whether you were influenced by Victoria Williams. I wanted to buy your CD, but it, I, my money, you, and any sense of connectivity were never in the same place at the same time. I'm happy to have found you again, and I hope things are going great for you.

Good luck with the gig at Grey Eagle on the 10th, i'll be raising a glass to Mark Linkous on his birthday- still here in our hearts. Do you have plans to put the album on vinyl?

Hi Angela, I ordered a copy of your cd from cdbaby.com. I love the huge buildup cdbaby gives you about being their customer of the year, etc. I've listened to the whole cd and decided it's not like anybody I've ever heard before. There is a singer called Laika that it sounds a little like, but not much. I can tell that the production was by Mark L. His style is all over it. I like it, expecially about 4 or 5 tracks in.

Angela, I chanced to see a reference to you and your music in the Chrokee Scout. Sadly, the article was about the passing of Mark Linkous. I have been a fan of Sparklehorse for many years. My condolences to you and others who were close to Mark. I know he will be missed.

You are an original and have a unique sound, not copying anyone else, that in itself is wonderful, and then add in the textured vocals and mysterious imagery-filled lyrics and the performance is mesmerizing...I'm a big fan!--Timothy Scott

I've just discovered Angela's music and am very glad I have.
There is a unique and distinct character in the vocal delivery and songwriting which I find refreshing, given the faceless sea of bands all trying to be alike.
I think "Twenty White Flowers" is my favorite at the moment, although "Wicked Girl" has nice pop appeal in it's own idiosyncratic way. Very nice work.
